Tecon Rio Grande Selects Navis N4 Upgrade in its Goal to Modernize Operations and Increase Productivity by 45 Percent to 80 MPH

Navis today announced that Tecon Rio Grande (Tecon RG), a subsidiary of Wilson Sons Group, successfully upgraded to the N4 terminal system. With a focus on modernizing operations, Tecon RG has recently made a series of investments in new equipment, totaling more than $40 million, that when combined with the investment in N4, will deliver greater agility and an estimated 45 percent increase in average productivity.

Wuhan University of Technology Partners with Navis to Utilize MACS3 and Stowman Software in Expansion of Cargo Management Curriculum

Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), one of China's leading universities, has partnered with Navis to implement the MACS3 ship loading computer and the Navis StowMan stowage planning program as educational software. In the future, prospective nautical officers will learn loading and unloading operations for container ships and bulk carriers in the segment of 76,000 dwt to 300,000 dwt (very large ore carrier), with on-board planning support provided by the MACS3 stability program from Navis. In addition, students will use the shore-side stowage planning software, StowMan, to learn about the stowage optimization of containers on ships.

Port Newark Container Terminal Handles Record Volumes Immediately Following Upgrade to Navis N4 Terminal System

Navis today announced that Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT) successfully handled a record number of container volumes without disruption to its customers following its January 2017 upgrade to the N4 terminal system. The move to N4 is part of PNCT’s $500 million infrastructure modernization project that is expected to nearly double the terminal’s capacity by 2019.

Navis Appoints New Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer; Scott Holland Named Vice President of Global Product Management

Navis today announced three new appointments to its leadership team. Bruce Jacquemard, a 30-year supply chain veteran most recently at ONE Network Enterprises, joins Navis as Chief Revenue Officer, and Sunaina (Suni) Lobo, with more than 18 years of technology and financial services experience from Cisco and Silicon Valley Bank, joins as Chief Human Resources Officer. In addition, Scott Holland has been promoted to Vice President of Global Product Management with responsibility for the entire expanded product portfolio of the company.

MACS3 Loading Computer on CCS Group's 21,000 TEU Newbuilding Series

MACS3 loading computers have been ordered by China COSCO Shipping (CCS) Group for three 20,000 TEU container vessels with hull numbers H1413-1415, that are currently under construction at Shanghai Wai Gao Qiao shipyard in China and scheduled for completion between April 2017 and February 2018.
