Record Number of Terminals Optimizing Operations and Achieving Efficiencies Via Navis N4 Implementations in 2016

Navis has expanded its commitment to delivering best-in-class software solutions to terminals around the world, helping more sites than ever before to modernize operations for improved efficiency, productivity and cost-savings. As part of this commitment, Navis successfully completed the implementation of its N4 terminal system at a record 43 terminals in 2016 – more than double the number of go-lives completed the previous year.

Port of Beira Container Terminal Prepares for Future of Shipping with Navis N4 Implementation

Navis and Cornelder de Moçambique (CdM), Operator of the Port of Beira, today announced that the terminal has gone live on the Navis N4 terminal system. N4 replaces a competitive product that was unable to support future business requirements for the terminal, which includes automation and Business Intelligence.

Navis Announces Improvements in Terminal Software with Launch of N4 3.3

For the launch of N4 3.3, Navis implemented a major improvement in its software development approach – leveraging an agile methodology – to improve the ability to build quality software and innovate by utilizing rapid feedback loops as part of the development cycle. With frequent quality and delivery checkpoints built into the process, the new software’s features help Navis customers unlock greater operational efficiency. Navis has also reduced its release cycle to four months in order to be more responsive to growing industry challenges and market needs.

The Navis Inspire Awards, sponsored by Port Technology International, are designed to recognize and celebrate excellence across the ocean supply chain and Navis customers that are driving change in the industry. Online voting for the Inspire Awards is now open on the Navis Collaboration Center (NCC). To cast your vote, log on to the NCC and give your nominee a “kudo,” or thumbs up. There is no limit to the number of submissions you can vote for. The voting period will end on January 31, 2017.

TCP Invests R$25 Million in New Navis Terminal System

TCP, the company responsible for managing the Paranaguá Container Terminal, one of the largest container terminals in the country, has implemented a new integrated port operation system to increase terminal productivity, reduce costs and improve the interface with its customers. As part of the new system, the company has adopted Navis N4, a market leader in Brazil and worldwide, acknowledged as a complete solution for port terminals. The investment for the overall system implementation reaches R$25 million.

Port Authority of Guam Replaces In-House Operating System with Navis N4 to Increase Terminal Efficiency
