DP World’s London Gateway Sets the Benchmark for the Industry in Port Automation

Kalmar and Navis have provided the operational backbone consisting of Kalmar automated stacking cranes (ASCs) and shuttle carriers and Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) for DP World’s London Gateway port. The project is the first joint Kalmar-Navis deployment of software with automated container handling equipment.

DP World Australia and Navis Celebrate Grand Opening Of Operations in Brisbane

Navis celebrated the grand opening of the new DP World Brisbane terminal and the go-live of the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) to support its semi-automated operations. Implementation of N4 at DP World Brisbane, the fourth member of the DP World Australia family of terminals to go live on Navis N4 over the last three years, completes the standardization and optimization of the TOS software across all DP World Australia sites.

Puerto Caacupe-mi is the First Port in Paraguay and South America to Select Both Navis N4 and Kalmar SmartPort

Puerto Caacupe-mi selected N4 due to the TOS’ flexibility to adapt to individual customer needs, and at the same time, achieve greater agility, efficiency and control in handling large cargo volumes. In addition, the Puerto Caacupe-mi Asuncion and Pilar terminals will implement Kalmar SmartFleet, offering real time and historical data for remote equipment monitoring for all tracked assets, as well as Kalmar SmartMap, providing a terminal view of the operations.

Navis announced at Intermodal South America the next release of its industry-leading terminal operating system (TOS), N4 2.6. Building upon previous versions of the technology, N4 2.6 offers the latest innovations to help customers optimize operations, improve efficiency and productivity and cut costs. Key enhancements available in the N4 2.6 include improved rail functionality, a refreshed planning and control UI, robust system management and administration capabilities, tools to ease N4 migrations and improvements to EDI and gate functionality.

Navis N4 Upgraded at Global Terminal’s Expansion Project

Navis, the global technology standard for managing the movement of cargo through terminals, announced that following extensive testing, Global Terminal (Global) became the first facility in North America to successfully upgrade to the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) version 2.5 on March 3, 2014. Located in the Port of New York/New Jersey, the implementation supports the terminal’s semi-automation. Navis technology allows Global to increase capacity and productivity on the existing facility while minimizing environmental impact.
