Hamburg Port Consulting Becomes Newest Navis Service Solutions Partner

HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH, a subsidiary of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA),  has signed on as Navis’ newest implementation service partner, supporting the rollout and optimization of the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS) at container terminals worldwide. In one of its first projects as a Navis partner, HPC will support the implementation of N4 at all three Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) container terminals.

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) Selects Navis N4 Terminal Operating System

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), one of Europe’s leading port logistics groups, has signed a multi-terminal deal with Navis. As part of the agreement, N4 will serve as a central part of HHLA’s terminal operating system (TOS) landscape, a strategic investment that will aid in its ability to optimize vital terminal operations at multiple sites, more effectively handle, as well as meet evolving customer demands. N4 will be deployed at all three HHLA container terminals in the port of Hamburg: Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA), Container Terminal Burchardkai (CTB) and Container Terminal Tollerort (CTT).

Benoit de la Tour has been appointed President, Navis and the head of software business in Kalmar as of 1 February 2016. Based in Oakland, California, he will report to Chairman of the Navis Board Olli Isotalo and be part of Kalmar Management.

Fertisa Port Terminal Selects World Class Navis N4 Terminal Operating System

New N4 terminal operating system (TOS) license agreement with Ecuador-based Fertisa Port Terminal. Moving from its in-house system to N4 will enable the port to manage future anticipated growth, improve customer excellence and the terminal’s competitive advantage in the region. Fertisa Port Terminal is located within the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador and is part of the largest private business in the region.

Navis Furthers TOS Innovation with Launch of N4 3.1

As a growing number of container terminals globally evaluate and adopt automation to address complex industry challenges, it is essential that terminal operating systems (TOS)—often the heart of the terminal—evolve in order support new operational requirements. In response to this market need, Navis announces that N4 release 3.1 is generally available. N4 release 3.1 demonstrates Navis’ continued commitment to continuously improve the TOS’ usability, enhancing operational efficiency for its customers, delivering a platform that is extensible and flexible enough to meet terminal needs now and in the future. N4 3.1 is the first major release of N4 since 2.6 was unveiled in April 2014.

Libra Terminais Rio Completes Implementation of Navis N4 Terminal Operating System

Libra Terminais Rio, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has successfully completed its implementation of the Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS). In the next phase, Libra Terminais will implement N4 TOS at its second facility in Santos, Brazil, an action in step with Libra’s goal of being the key container terminal in Brazil’s trade market. Libra Terminais Rio is strategically located within Brazil’s port of Rio de Janeiro, a port that houses one of the largest bonded warehouses in the region, and is equipped to handle reefer, cold storage and consolidated cargo.

Navis N4 Terminal Operating System Goes Live at Port of Liverpool

Port of Liverpool, owned and operated by Peel Ports Group, is now live and fully operational on the N4 terminal operating system (TOS). The investment in N4, along with Kalmar AutoGate, is the latest phase in a £300 million infrastructure redevelopment project to expand and develop the deep-water container terminal, Liverpool2. This implementation also included the new Navis Business Intelligence portal and has replaced their legacy “K2” system, automating a number of internal and external customer business processes.
